About The Position

As we open our new Texas plant, we are seeking a Safety Coordinator to establish and lead safety initiatives for our newest manufacturing facility. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on safety professional who enjoys building programs, influencing culture, and partnering with employees and leadership to create a safe, compliant, and engaged workplace. This position will serve as the primary and sole safety resource for the Texas facility, providing day-to-day safety leadership while working closely with the Plant Manager to support operational objectives. The role will also maintain a strong partnership with Fidelity Manufacturing's Safety Manager and Safety Department in Florida to ensure alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. As our Texas operation continues to grow, this position will play a critical role in establishing the safety systems, training programs, accountability processes, and employee engagement initiatives that support long-term operational success. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for the administration, implementation, and continuous improvement of workplace safety programs at Fidelity Manufacturing's Texas facility. As the site's dedicated safety professional, this position serves as the primary resource for safety compliance, employee engagement, risk reduction, training, incident prevention, regulatory compliance, and safety culture development. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, manufacturing safety practices, incident investigation methodologies, root cause analysis, and employee training techniques. This position requires a highly visible presence throughout the facility and the ability to work independently while partnering closely with operations leadership, supervisors, and employees to drive continuous improvement in workplace safety performance. As the sole safety professional supporting the Texas facility, this role requires strong initiative, ownership, and the ability to build and sustain effective safety processes while collaborating with Fidelity's corporate Safety Department. As operations expand, this position will play an increasingly strategic role in supporting workforce growth, process development, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of safety experience in manufacturing, industrial, fabrication, warehousing, construction, or related environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Experience developing and delivering employee safety training programs.
  • Ability to identify workplace hazards and perform risk assessments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic recordkeeping systems.
  • Ability to build relationships and positively influence employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.

  • Knowledge of ISO standards and manufacturing compliance systems.
  • Experience with safety management software and electronic reporting systems.
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and maintain OSHA-compliant safety policies, programs, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary safety resource for all Texas facility operations.
  • Monitor compliance with company safety standards, regulatory requirements, and established best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities to reduce workplace hazards and incidents.
  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented, documented, and sustained.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on injury prevention, hazard reduction, and employee engagement.
  • Maintain site emergency response plans and support emergency preparedness initiatives.
  • Assist with contractor safety oversight and compliance activities as required.
  • Ensure facility operations support a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Conduct new hire safety orientation and onboarding training.
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and ongoing safety communication initiatives.
  • Organize, facilitate, and support Safety Committee activities.
  • Promote employee involvement in safety initiatives, observations, and hazard identification efforts.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees and supervisors regarding safe work practices.
  • Support the development of a proactive safety culture focused on ownership, engagement, and accountability.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with required training programs.
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections and safety audits throughout manufacturing, warehouse, office, and outdoor work areas.
  • Identify hazardous conditions, unsafe behaviors, and compliance gaps.
  • Perform investigations involving workplace injuries, illnesses, property damage, vehicle incidents, and near misses.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Track and monitor corrective actions to ensure timely completion and effectiveness.
  • Support internal and external safety audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Maintain readiness for OSHA inspections and ensure required documentation is current and accessible.
  • Analyze safety trends and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Texas operations and Fidelity Manufacturing's Safety Department.
  • Partner closely with the Plant Manager to support daily operational safety initiatives and site priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure alignment with company-wide safety programs and strategic objectives.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence and regularly engage with employees throughout the facility.
  • Observe work activities and provide coaching and feedback on safe work practices.
  • Support supervisors and managers in achieving departmental safety goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the implementation of company safety initiatives, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee involvement.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, logs, investigations, and regulatory documentation.
  • Manage OSHA recordkeeping requirements, including injury and illness tracking and reporting.
  • Prepare reports related to incidents, trends, inspections, audits, training, corrective actions, and safety performance metrics.
  • Monitor safety key performance indicators and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support ISO, OSHA, environmental, and company compliance initiatives as required.
  • Assist with development of safety objectives, action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
