About The Position

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time construction Safety Coordinator in Lubbock, Texas. This role is responsible for ensuring the implementation of all IES and Client safety activities, conducting frequent jobsite inspections, and ensuring corrective actions are taken to address deficiencies. The Safety Coordinator will work with foremen to plan safe execution of non-routine job tasks, participate in jobsite safety meetings, and conduct jobsite safety orientations. Additionally, the position involves assisting with safety training, conducting field training on all equipment, and assisting in hazard recognition and corrections. The role also requires providing on-site first aid and CPR capabilities and complying with all company and client safety policies and procedures. Travel may be required.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year commercial electrical experience in a related position
HS Diploma/GED
OSHA-30 Certification
First Aid/CPR/AED/Blood Bourne Pathogens Certifications
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Ensures implementation of all IES and Client safety activities
Conducts frequent jobsite inspections, ensures corrective action taken to correct deficiencies
Works with foreman in planning how to perform non-routine job tasks safely
Participates in jobsite safety meetings and periodic attendance at foreman toolbox safety meetings
Conducts jobsite safety orientations
Assists in safety training as necessary
Conducts field training on all equipment for all employees
Assists in Hazards Recognition and corrections
Provides on-site first aid and CPR capabilities
Complies with all company and client safety policies and procedures
