Safety Coordinator (On-site)
About The Position
We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will greet visitors and walk them through registration, make sure the reception area remains safe and compliant, and provide support to associates during emergencies. The position requires exceptional interpersonal skills, as you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, along with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage a variety of administrative and safety-related responsibilities, including CCTV monitoring. The ideal candidate is trained in CPR and first aid, and excels at balancing multiple priorities to ensure visitors, customers and Lakeshore receive the support they need.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- 1–2 years of experience in the field
- 2+ years of experience in a similar position
- CPR certification required
- Must be proficient in English
- Proficiency with CCTV, Microsoft Office, Canva and Level Path
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand contract language
- Experience with social media posting and content for writing/editing
Nice To Haves
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in the field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position preferred
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Responsibilities
- Greeting, registering and directing visitors throughout Lakeshore HQ while providing exceptional customer service to visitors, associates and vendors
- Maintaining a safe, clean and professional reception area by adhering to established procedures, policies and safety regulations
- Reviewing and implementing emergency response and preparedness procedures, including responding to burglary and fire alarm systems
- Monitoring and reporting incidents identified through ThinkLP, Verizon Connect GPS and CCTV systems
- Providing safety, communication and emergency support for Kids & Co., Lakeshore’s onsite child care center, helping ensure a secure and responsive environment for children and staff
- Assisting with administrative projects assigned by your team and departments across the organization
