About The Position
Join an electrical contractor supporting a large-scale data center construction project in Chandler, Arizona. This opportunity provides hands-on safety oversight for electrical construction activities while supporting one of the most active mission-critical construction markets in the country.
Requirements
- OSHA 30 Certification
- OSHA 510 Certification
- Experience supporting active construction projects
- Strong field safety presence and hazard recognition skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards
- Working knowledge of Electrical Construction Safety
- Working knowledge of Data Center Construction Environments
- Working knowledge of Hazard Recognition & Risk Mitigation
- Working knowledge of Fall Protection & Elevated Work
- Working knowledge of Aerial Lifts & MEWPs
- Working knowledge of Material Handling Operations
- Working knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Management
- Working knowledge of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Working knowledge of Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
- Working knowledge of Contractor Safety Management
- Working knowledge of Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation
Nice To Haves
- CHST, ASP, CSP, STS-C, or other BCSP Credential
- Data Center Construction Experience
- Electrical Construction Safety Experience
- Experience working within owner-driven safety programs
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
Responsibilities
- Provide daily field safety oversight for electrical construction activities
- Conduct routine safety walks, inspections, and hazard assessments
- Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas
- Monitor electrical installation activities and high-risk work operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
- Support site PPE inventory, distribution, and usage compliance
- Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task plans
- Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions
- Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel
- Coordinate safety activities with project management and supervision
- Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
