About The Position

Campbell Supply is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to oversee company-wide health, safety, and regulatory compliance. This role is critical to ensuring adherence to OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA standards while supporting safety training, inspections, and preventive programs across our emergency and commercial truck dealership operations. The Safety Coordinator will travel regularly between locations and work closely with leadership, HR, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations
  • Experience in safety coordination within automotive, trucking, or industrial environments preferred
  • Strong communication, training, and documentation skills
  • Ability to travel regularly between company locations
  • Clean driving record required for potential company vehicle use
  • Willingness to use personal vehicle for travel, if applicable

Nice To Haves

  • Safety certifications preferred
  • CPR/AED instructor certification or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety audits and facility inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and company standards
  • Partner with department managers to create, review, implement, and audit safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain and monitor safety equipment including fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and AEDs
  • Coordinate CPR/AED training for managers and designated staff
  • Develop and implement safety training programs across all departments, including EV battery handling training
  • Oversee forklift certification status, training, and renewal processes
  • Support and enforce lockout/tagout procedures for broken tools and equipment
  • Administer quarterly FMCSA CDL random drug and alcohol testing programs
  • Monitor PPE inventory, distribution, and proper usage
  • Partner with HR on annual OSHA reporting and compliance documentation
  • Conduct warehouse and service shop safety walks, including hazardous material handling and storage
  • Partner with the Driver Trainer on driver safety practices and ongoing training
  • Lead emergency drills and preparedness activities
  • Investigate accidents and near-misses; recommend corrective actions
  • Assist with regulatory inspections and audits as required
  • Travel regularly to all company locations to perform safety duties
