About The Position

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation and monitoring of safety programs across complex capital projects in life sciences, manufacturing, healthcare, and commercial environments. This position ensures compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices. The Safety Coordinator works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to maintain safe working conditions, promote a safety-first culture, and assist in safety training and inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CPCC, NEBOSH) are a plus.
  • 1–3 years of experience in construction safety, industrial safety, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and hazard identification.
  • Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company requirements.
  • Support the Safety Manager in investigating incidents, documenting findings, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, including daily reports, inspection checklists, incident reports, and training documentation.
  • Assist in safety training programs for field personnel, subcontractors, and new hires.
  • Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices on job sites.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and project safety briefings.
  • Support safety-related communication between project teams, subcontractors, and management.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and proactive hazard prevention across projects.
