About The Position

AOCUSA is hiring a Safety Coordinator 1 in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time, first shift position (7:00 AM EST – 3:30 PM EST, Monday – Friday + Overtime as Needed) that is performed onsite. Amalie Oil Company is a large independent blender of motor oils and industrial lubricants with production facilities across North America. The Safety Coordinator will work with the Compliance team to monitor safety policy and procedures, conduct safety corrections and inspections, train employees on safety procedures, improve work environment safety, monitor security, and coordinate the administrative safety process for the Compliance team.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience and knowledge of safety or security
• OSHA 30-hour General Industry Certification preferred If applicant currently does not possess this certification, they must have the ability to obtain it upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrol facility for security
• Monitor all department for safety compliance
• Monitor all department for facilities deficiencies
• Write safety citations for employees, managers & departments
• Log safety citations
• Review security reports for hours logged & incidents
• Maintain positive employee relations
• Respond to an emergency in accordance with policy and procedure
• Perform training for employees
• Attend and contribute to weekly meetings with Compliance team to review violations, training, and possible improvements
