About The Position

As our Safety & Compliance Specialist, you’ll take ownership of the systems, documentation, and execution that keep our people safe and our business compliant. From regulatory requirements to real-world safety practices, this role ensures nothing slips through the cracks. This is a high-responsibility role that sits at the intersection of compliance, operations, and accountability. You’ll work closely with leaders across the company to ensure we’re not just meeting requirements—but consistently operating at a level that protects our people, our equipment, and our business.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in safety, compliance, transportation, HR compliance, or a related field
  • Strong organization and attention to detail—especially with documentation and tracking
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Clear, professional communication and the confidence to work with leaders across teams
  • A proactive mindset—you don’t wait for problems, you work to prevent them
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, or fleet safety regulations
  • Professional safety certifications (OSHA 30, ASP, CSP, OHST)
  • Experience supporting safety committees or training programs
  • Background in beverage distribution, transportation, or similar industries

Responsibilities

  • Safety Program Execution Support and coordinate company safety programs across all locations
  • Partner with leaders to identify risks, address hazards, and prevent incidents
  • Lead safety communications including alerts, monthly topics, and updates
  • Support companywide initiatives focused on reducing injuries and improving safety performance
  • Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements
  • Manage driver qualification files including CDL documentation, medical cards, MVRs, and Clearinghouse requirements
  • Support pre-employment driver compliance processes
  • Track hours of service and provide guidance to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Maintain OSHA logs and all required safety documentation
  • Ensure accidents, injuries, and near-misses are properly documented and reported
  • Maintain accurate safety records and reporting systems
  • Compile safety data and support trend analysis and performance tracking
  • Assist with incident reviews and follow-up documentation
  • Coordinate and support safety training programs including new hire orientation and ongoing training
  • Provide guidance on driver safety, workplace safety, and compliance requirements
  • Track certifications and required training across teams
  • Maintain and update safety training materials
  • Lead the Eugene Safety Committee and support participation across locations
  • Encourage employee involvement in safety initiatives and reporting
  • Support continuous improvement efforts that strengthen safety performance
  • Partner with teams across the business to reinforce safety as a daily priority
