About The Position

The Safety & Compliance Manager at Energy Partners is responsible for leading and enforcing all company safety programs, regulatory compliance, and risk management initiatives. This role reports directly to the COO and is focused on propane safety, OSHA standards, and DOT compliance across all company locations. This position ensures Energy Partners operates at the highest level of safety and regulatory compliance while building a culture of accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement. The Safety & Compliance Manager serves as the company’s subject matter expert in safety and regulatory requirements and has the authority to enforce policies and address non-compliance across all departments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3–5+ years of experience in safety, compliance, or related field preferred
  • Experience in propane, energy, transportation, or similar industry strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and NFPA regulations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and continuously improve Energy Partners’ Safety & Compliance Program
  • Promote and enforce a strong, consistent safety culture across all locations
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain all safety and compliance records in an organized and audit-ready manner
  • Meet all annual safety and compliance goals established by the COO
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and strong leadership
  • Communicate effectively with employees, leadership, and regulatory agencies
  • Identify workplace hazards and ensure timely corrective action
  • Reflect positively on Energy Partners through professional conduct and leadership
  • Lead and manage the company-wide safety program across all locations
  • Conduct regular site visits, safety audits, and field observations
  • Lead monthly safety meetings and safety committee initiatives
  • Drive consistency in safety expectations and execution across all branches
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations, including: DOT (Department of Transportation), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), NFPA 54 & NFPA 58 (Propane industry standards)
  • Maintain all required compliance documentation and records
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and audits
  • Oversee and manage all PEP training and certification programs
  • Develop and implement ongoing safety and compliance training
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained, certified, and current
  • Conduct routine safety audits and compliance reviews across all locations
  • Track and report safety metrics, incidents, and compliance performance
  • Provide regular safety and compliance updates to leadership and the Board
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Identify operational and safety risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Standardize safety procedures and ensure consistent application company-wide
  • Ensure accountability at all levels for adherence
  • Travel regularly to company locations to support safety and compliance efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the COO related to safety and compliance
