About The Position

A&A Safety, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Safety & Compliance Coordinator to work under our Safety & Compliance Manager in supporting a high-volume safety program spanning three states and over 1,000 pieces of equipment. This is a high-visibility role with real ownership — you won’t be sitting on the sidelines. You’ll be embedded in the operation, working alongside crews in the field and across every level of the organization. Based out of our Amelia, Ohio office, this person will interact daily with laborers, project managers, construction operations, and executive leadership. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–4 years of experience in an administrative, safety, or compliance role; construction, transportation, or a safety-regulated industry strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy in data entry and record management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities while maintaining precision
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; comfortable working across all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable presenting safety content to field crews and facilitating group training sessions

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with contractor prequalification or compliance platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, or similar) is a plus
  • Experience with Samsara, ATS systems, or other safety/compliance tracking platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with filing and managing safety-related insurance claims from start to finish, including tracking progress and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Communicate with internal teams and insurance providers to support timely claim resolution
  • Support OSHA recordkeeping requirements, including maintenance of OSHA 300/300A logs, incident reports, and near-miss documentation
  • Assist with DOT/FMCSA compliance administration, including maintaining driver qualification files, tracking medical certificate expirations, and supporting MVR monitoring processes
  • Coordinate DOT drug and alcohol program administration, including random testing pool scheduling, tracking test results, and maintaining chain-of-custody documentation
  • Monitor Samsara telematics data to review safety incidents and events across the fleet; coordinate with our Samsara account manager to resolve issues and drive corrective actions
  • Enter and maintain safety certifications in the ATS system and monitor expiration dates to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Plan and deliver toolbox talks and ongoing safety training and education for field crews, ensuring content is relevant, timely, and documented
  • Support new hire safety onboarding, including coordinating safety orientations, issuing PPE, and obtaining signed acknowledgments of safety policies and procedures
  • Coordinate safety training logistics, including scheduling sessions, tracking completion records, and managing certification renewals for flagging, traffic control, first aid, and other required programs
  • Support fleet safety administration, including annual vehicle registrations and maintaining vehicle records across OH, KY, and IN
  • Collect and track subcontractor and vendor compliance documentation, including certificates of insurance and safety prequalification records
  • Ensure all safety records and documentation remain accurate, organized, and up to date — both digital and physical
  • Assist with safety reports, data entry, and other safety-related documentation as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to the Safety & Compliance Manager, while maintaining strict confidentiality of all safety, personnel, and compliance records
