Requirements

  • College student currently pursuing a Health and Safety Bachelor's Degree
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and lead incident investigations and learning teams using the RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) and framework.
  • Participate on the plant’s joint health and safety committee and complete other initiatives which drive safety excellence.
  • Perform audits and inspections.
  • Coach employees to assist in connecting front-line employees with safety initiatives and goals.
  • Present pre-developed safety topics
  • Participate as a Member of the sites METs (medical emergency team) group
  • Be willing to transform; Seek, develop, and utilize our visions, strategies, methods, and products to create the greatest value; demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and motivation to succeed.
