Position Summary/Details: The Community Investment Co-Op/Intern will support TECO’s charitable giving, employee engagement, and community partnership initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in corporate social responsibility and offers the opportunity to contribute to programs that strengthen TECO’s presence in the communities we serve. The student will assist with project coordination, data tracking, and community-focused events aligned with TECO’s strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline for the first semester the student joins the program.
  • To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.
  • Junior or Senior

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Community Investment program coordination, including organizing volunteer activities, tracking participation, and supporting charitable giving initiatives.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support community partnership decisions, grant requests, and program reporting.
  • Help develop internal and external communications, such as presentations, impact summaries, newsletters, and stories highlighting TECO’s community impact.
  • Learn and apply corporate social responsibility practices, gaining exposure to stakeholder engagement, philanthropic strategy, and cross-department collaboration.
