The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study. Position Summary/Details: Responsibilities include gathering and compiling asset data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness for analysis. Additionally, responsibilities include coordinating project timelines, analyzing data to drive strategic decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success by leveraging data insights for actionable results.

Requirements

  • The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
  • To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Currently pursuing one of the following: Engineering, Business, Economics, Computer Science, IT or related.
  • Junior or Senior
  • Microsoft Suite Applications (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)

  • Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our TECO Energy customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Electrical System Reliability (ESR) team with developing, maintaining, modifying asset monitoring plan databases, and maintenance strategies.
  • Support the NERC Compliance team with updates, reviews and coordinating various deliverables and activities with Operating areas.
  • Support the development project plans, roadmaps and process flows.
  • Support the ESR team with various administrative activities including work management, and procurement.
  • Support the ESR team with the development and execution of process improvement initiatives using software tools.
