Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 12+ years of experience.
Prior Safety Basis Experience.
USQ Knowledge.
Prior Nuclear experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements.
Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.

Nice To Haves

Active Q is highly preferred.
Candidate ideally needs to be located or relocated to the Los Alamos area.
Prior USQ experience.

Responsibilities

Leads and performs nuclear and non-nuclear risk and hazard analyses to ensure safe operation of nuclear and/or non-nuclear facilities.
Hazard identification
Hazard analysis
Facility hazard categorization
Accident analysis
Selection of controls
Development of associated safety basis documents including unreviewed safety question determinations, documented safety analysis, technical safety requirements, safety assessment documents, facility safety plans, and facility safety analysis.
