About The Position

The Safety and Security Officer is responsible for building and facilities safety and security, including indoor and outdoor patrol. This is a part-time position, 25 hours per week, with a varying schedule and TBD hours. The role requires the ability to answer questions, secure premises, make rounds, handle situations, resolve conflicts, enforce rules, and complete daily and incident reports. The officer will also perform other assigned duties. Requirements

• Current NYS Security Guard License is required.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Must be available for off-hour calls in the event of an emergency.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without work sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions.
• Secure premises, make rounds.
• Handle situations, resolve conflicts.
• Enforce rules.
• Complete daily report forms.
• Complete incident reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
