About The Position

The Safety & Security Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of site safety and physical security programs at Omni Specialty Packaging. This role ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and security standards while fostering a strong safety culture and maintaining a secure work environment. The position provides leadership, direction, and oversight for safety initiatives, incident prevention, and facility security operations.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices
  • Experience with facility security systems and protocols

  • Strong investigation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to influence all levels of the organization
  • 5+ years of experience in safety, security, or EHS roles in manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Experience with incident investigation, compliance, and program management

  • Recognized safety certification or currently in pursuit of certification
  • Experience managing security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms)
  • Experience in packaging, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all site safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs
  • Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety audits
  • Support and oversee incident investigations led by supervisors; review findings, determine root causes, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented
  • Track and report safety performance metrics (TRIR, near misses, incidents)
  • Ensure OSHA recordkeeping (300, 300A, 301 logs) is accurate and up to date
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and leadership
  • Oversee the Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training program, including operator certification, evaluations, and compliance with OSHA requirements
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and accountability
  • Develop, implement, and manage site security programs and procedures
  • Oversee facility access control systems, badge programs, and visitor management
  • Coordinate and monitor contract security personnel (if applicable)
  • Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability reviews
  • Investigate security incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure proper functioning of surveillance systems (CCTV) and alarm systems
  • Maintain site emergency response and crisis management protocols
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, environmental, and security regulations
  • Maintain and update safety and security policies and procedures
  • Support internal and external audits related to safety and security
  • Partner with the Regulatory Compliance Manager on compliance-related initiatives
  • Manage all workers’ compensation claims
  • Work closely with Plant Manager, Operations, Maintenance, HR, and EHS teams
  • Lead or participate in EHS committee meetings and safety initiatives
  • Provide guidance and coaching to supervisors on safety and security expectations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility
