About The Position

Allied Universal® is hiring a Temporary Safety and Risk Specialist for a 10-month project for the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Regions. The Safety and Risk Specialist will follow a predetermined schedule for facilitating the implementation of a standardized safety improvement process in multiple operational branches. An existing playbook, dashboard, and a cadence of meetings will be utilized to help educate, inform, and establish performance expectations with operational partners. Regular reporting of progress and attendance at Safety Department meetings will be a requirement. This is a remote temporary position.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Safety, Emergency Management, Behavioral Science, or related field OR Military safety-related experience (e.g., Safety and Occupational Health (SOH), Safety Managers, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officers or similar role)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of safety or quality related management experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of operations safety experience
  • Work history must demonstrate the ability to lead others and drive improvement
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles, concepts, methods, and techniques of effective safety process management
  • Ability to execute an established course of action to implement a process

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the implementation of a standardized safety improvement process for assigned branches to ensure understanding, drive accountability, and establish operational ownership
  • Produce recurring regional and branch-level reports using a standardized safety improvement process and approved reporting formats
  • Analyze safety data and educate how an operator should be reviewing for insights, trends, and actions
  • Coach branch and general managers on a standardized safety improvement process execution, follow-up expectations, and leadership accountability
  • Execute phased deployment activities, including branch onboarding, meeting facilitation, and transition of tactical dashboard process ownership to general managers
  • Actively participate in weekly facilitator check-ins, monthly quality reviews, and quarterly program refresh activities by sharing implementation experiences and suggestions for improvement
  • Support sustained branch execution of safety improvement process through follow-up meetings, coaching, and performance review
  • Collaborate with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) leadership and operational stakeholders to ensure successful implementation
