About The Position

The Safety and Maintenance Coordinator reports to the Safety and Facility Management Manager and supports daily safety compliance, training, facility maintenance, repairs, and vendor coordination to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations. The compensation range is $32–$35 per hour, depending on experience. The shift is 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The role includes OSHA compliance activities, preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, facility repairs, Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training and certification, and coordination of outside vendors and contractors. The coordinator maintains safety and maintenance records, monitors expenses, recommends operational improvements, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a warehouse/distribution environment or related field.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical meters.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with safety inspections, OSHA compliance, training, and incident investigations.
• PIV certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure OSHA compliance through safety inspections, employee training, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform facility repairs.
• Conduct Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training, evaluations, and certifications.
• Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors to ensure safe, timely, and quality service.
• Maintain safety and maintenance records, monitor expenses, and recommend operational improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
