About The Position

Darigold is seeking a dynamic and motivated Safety and Environmental Supervisor to lead safety initiatives and strengthen our culture of workplace safety at our Bozeman, MT facility. This role is instrumental in driving employee engagement, reducing workplace risk, and fostering a proactive safety culture that supports operational excellence. The Safety Supervisor partners closely with the Senior Safety Director and Director of Environmental Compliance to develop, implement, and continuously improve safety programs that ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Darigold's environmental, health, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or three to five years in a production facility, preferably in Dairy.
• Strong organizational & communication skills.
• Possesses strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous dairy processing or food manufacturing experience.
• Ability to monitor several concurrent processes simultaneously is critical to success in the position.
• Strong attention to detail, must be able to complete multiple and repetitive tasks, must be committed to accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with others to achieve team goals.
• Maintain high attendance standards.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, mechanical skills desirable.
• Strong computer experience for reporting and HMI screen management
• Ability to respond to variances in the process.
• Ability to organize and analyze process problems.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, strong computer skills
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes

Responsibilities

• Embody a safety culture to change behavior and drive change across the Bozeman site
• Spearhead the risk management process to systematically identify hazards, assess risks, and drive execution of corrective actions
• Assist with incident investigations to determine root cause and ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented
• Partner with site leadership to establish goals, metrics, and priorities for safety
• Manage the Safety KPIs and other trends to identify areas where we can continue to account for and mitigate risks and drive safety
• Perform site inspections and internal audits that generate corrective actions in order to drive continuous improvement
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing data and present recommended next steps
• Sponsor and support the Darigold Performance System Safety Pillar
• Maintain current knowledge of trends and practices and remain apprised of industry standards, technology, developments, and regulatory changes
