About The Position

The Safety Analyst - Flight Operations supports the daily management, administration, security and operation of the Safety Department flight operations through tracking, investigation and mitigation development of flight operations safety events. In addition, the Safety Analyst - Flight Operations supports the SMS through computer systems management and integration, and conducts analytical projects assigned by the SMS Manager.

Requirements

• Ability to operate independently with little daily supervision.
• Experience in Part 121 Flight Operations (FLT Crew, Dispatch, Flight Safety)
• The ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to give verbal and written directions to assigned staff.
• Work experience, in 14CFR Part 121 air carrier operations (FLT Crew, Dispatch, Flight Safety)
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, including database and spreadsheet programs.
• Proven project management and analytical skills.
• Strong work ethics, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a positive attitude toward teamwork.
• Willingness to assist Managers, Directors and staff with the highest level of professionalism.
• Ability to handle numerous projects at one time and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision in support of Reliance and the SMS
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Experience in aircraft incident investigation (desired).
• Basic computer programming and statistical methods experience preferred.
• Previous experience maintaining and enhancing corporate safety standards and safe operation practices preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with the development, implementation, and daily administration of the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Responsible for the processing, investigating and corrective action development for all Flight Operation related Event Log incident reports
• Implements risk-based analyses and accident prevention framework to drive continuous safety improvements.
• Responsible for preparing trending analysis reports and charts.
• Provide technical support in the use and development of Reliance for all participating departments.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and statistical data required to keep the SMS groups and the administrator informed of the status of the programs
• Other duties as assigned.
