About The Position

At La Vida Llena, a not‑for‑profit Life Plan Community, residents enjoy a vibrant and engaging environment with opportunities for creative, educational, and personal exploration. Our welcoming campus offers resort‑style amenities and a full continuum of care including Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. We are seeking a Safety Aide to support a safe and secure community through observation, reporting, and resident‑focused service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in building or grounds security, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of alarm and communication systems and ability to communicate with Police and Fire departments.
  • Ability to complete forms accurately and maintain detailed logs and reports.
  • Formal training or experience in self‑defense methods.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general safety and security through observation, monitoring, and reporting to promote a safe and secure environment across the community.
  • Perform gatekeeper duties by screening and directing residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and visitors as needed.
  • Conduct periodic patrols of common and public areas, on foot or by vehicle, and check security functions during rounds.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment, fire alarm systems, and emergency call systems, responding to alarms and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Assist during resident or employee emergencies, provide staff escorts during non‑regular business hours, maintain accurate logs and reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
