About The Position

At La Vida Llena, a not‑for‑profit Life Plan Community, residents enjoy a vibrant and engaging environment with opportunities for creative, educational, and personal exploration. Our welcoming campus offers resort‑style amenities and a full continuum of care including Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. We are seeking a Safety Aide to support a safe and secure community through observation, reporting, and resident‑focused service.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in building or grounds security, or a related field.
Knowledge of alarm and communication systems and ability to communicate with Police and Fire departments.
Ability to complete forms accurately and maintain detailed logs and reports.
Formal training or experience in self‑defense methods.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide general safety and security through observation, monitoring, and reporting to promote a safe and secure environment across the community.
Perform gatekeeper duties by screening and directing residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and visitors as needed.
Conduct periodic patrols of common and public areas, on foot or by vehicle, and check security functions during rounds.
Monitor surveillance equipment, fire alarm systems, and emergency call systems, responding to alarms and escalating issues appropriately.
Assist during resident or employee emergencies, provide staff escorts during non‑regular business hours, maintain accurate logs and reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
