About The Position

Support the EHSS department to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations through proper documentation and recordkeeping. Conduct routine workplace safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA). Assist in preparing inspection reports and tracking corrective actions to closure. Support the development and maintenance of inspection checklists and audit tools. Coordinate logistics for safety training sessions, including scheduling, materials preparation, and attendance tracking. Assist in the development and distribution of safety bulletins, posters, and other awareness materials. Support onboarding safety orientation for new employees and contractors. Serve as the first point of contact for reporting safety incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. Assist in gathering initial incident data, witness statements, and photographic evidence. Support the EHSS team in conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective/preventive actions. Monitor inventory levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety supplies. Support the distribution and proper use of PPE across departments. Assist in evaluating and recommending appropriate PPE for specific tasks. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, inspections, and corrective actions in EHSS databases or software systems. Help compile data for monthly safety metrics, dashboards, and regulatory reporting. Uphold all MLI policies and the “MLI Code of Conduct.” Adhere to Environmental and Safety compliance regulations. Follow Compliance and individual accountability with the MLI Quality System and ISO Registration. Requirements

  • Associate's Arts degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • An EHSS certificate(s) with relevant experience may be considered.
  • 0–1 years of experience in EHSS or a related safety/environmental role.
  • Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
  • Proficient in arithmetic and grammar.
  • Demonstrated ability to: Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously to meet established deadlines.
  • Work as a team and/or independently.
  • Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
