Requirements

  • Peer recovery certification or willingness to be certified within one year.
  • At least 3 years in full recovery and 5 years lived experience.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License, proof of current automobile insurance and may not have more than two (2) points on their driving record.
  • Regularly required to drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to Safe Station to engage consumers requesting assistance.
  • Completes dispatch form, safety and treatment plan.
  • Consults and collaborates with Mobile Crisis Team.
  • Participates in warm hand off to treatment provider as needed.
  • Follows up with consumers as needed.
  • Communicates with Law Enforcement and First Responders.
  • Performs community outreach.
  • Assists the Mobile Crisis Team in performing a danger assessment, a crisis assessment, an environmental assessment upon entry to the community situation and lethality assessment when needed.
  • Effectively performs crisis intervention including de-escalation, crisis planning and implementation.
  • Designs appropriate referral recommendations using available community resources.
  • Addresses populations including child, adolescent, adult, dual-diagnosis, co-occurring, and elderly.
  • Works with families and involved persons to de-escalate the situation, make a crisis plan, and enlist cooperation with recommended treatment.
  • Documents interactions using CRS procedures.
  • Works with first responders and is aware of first responder culture.
  • Familiarizes oneself with police codes and language.
  • Participates in and completes all required trainings.
  • Provides education in the community about the agency and all components of CRS when needed.
  • Checks work e-mail at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Provides mentoring to interns and new staff.

  • Salary Range: $17.75-$20.50 per hour depending on certification and experience
