The Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund (CICF) is seeking a SAFE Coordinator to strengthen Virginia's Sexual Assault Forensic Exam program. This role builds trusted partnerships with medical providers, forensic nurses, survivor-serving organizations, and state partners while helping them navigate SAFE payment policies and processes. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and leader who understands medical billing, healthcare, victim services, or a related field and can turn complex policy into clear, practical guidance. CICF provides financial assistance to eligible victims of crime and their families. Within CICF, the SAFE program supports payment for forensic examinations related to sexual assault. While this position primarily works with the professionals and organizations serving survivors, rather than directly with survivors, the purpose behind the work is important. The policies you develop, relationships you strengthen, and problems you help resolve all contribute to how critical services are supported following sexual violence.
