About The Position

As a key member of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Digital Transformation organization, the Solution Train Engineer will be a Servant Leader and Coach for the Saber Solution Train, facilitating and guiding the work of all ARTs and Suppliers in the digital thread ecosystem. This highly visible role will coordinate, facilitate, and help to guide the constituent Agile Release Trains (ARTs), IT Systems, and organizations toward productive outcomes. The Solution Train Engineer (STE) possesses a systems view of the entire development and delivery process. Working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, the Solution Train Engineer will be a relationship builder, establishing vital connections within and outside the Solution Train to help the portfolio operate as a collaborative, adaptive network. This position requires a government security clearance, and you must be a US Citizen for consideration. The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Requirements

• Experience working in an Agile/SAFe environment
• Proven experience working across functions and Programs to deliver results
• Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

• Certified in SAFe a plus
• Experience as a Solution Train Engineer, Release Train Engineer, Solution Train Manager, or Product Owner/Product Manager desired
• Experience leading complex IT Systems Integration efforts
• Business Process Reengineering experience desired
• Experience managing across organizational boundaries
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems, Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Platform a plus
• Experience working with Siemens Xceleratoror and other Siemens Manufacturing systems a plus
• Strong Program Management Skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to executives as well as to teams and individual contributors

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and guides the work of all ARTs and Suppliers in the Value Stream
• Lead and coordinate the large solution delivery PI cadence
• Act as a Lean-Agile Leader to the train and often as a Coach to others within the Solution Train and ARTs regarding Lean and Agile practices.
• Be a relationship builder, establishing vital connections within and outside the Solution Train to help the portfolio operate as a collaborative, adaptive network
• Facilitate synchronization across the Solution Train coordinating or hosting regular syncs to keep the Solution Train on track.
