About The Position

GDIT is seeking a Project Manager to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Center for Information Technology (CIT) for the Business Applications Services (BAS) Program, specifically the Secure Active Approval and Validation Interface (SAAVI). SAAVI manages executive‑level correspondence, workflow routing, and multi‑office document coordination. The Project Manager will lead the SAAVI team through planning cycles, work sequencing, and operational oversight to sustain NIH’s correspondence routing needs. The Project Manager coordinates tasks, manages release cycles, aligns work to Government priorities, and supports activities across requirements, design, development, testing, and production operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing IT projects of similar size and complexity using similar technologies
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading projects in agile or iterative EPLCs
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading IT projects for the Federal Government
  • Ability to work with key owners and stakeholders across NIH executive offices
  • Ability to lead teams in analyzing and adopting new technologies quickly
  • Solid understanding of Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing, and EPLC
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NIH Public Trust

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting NIH or CIT environments
  • Experience supporting records management or workflow routing systems
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Active NIH badge is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Planning SAAVI work assignments and schedules
  • Coordinating document routing workflows and stakeholder communications
  • Managing sprint activities and iterative planning
  • Conducting contract reporting and status tracking
  • Supporting requirements, design, development, and testing activities
  • Routing communication across CIT, executive offices, and program stakeholders
  • Supporting onboarding for new personnel
  • Coordinating risks, issues, and operational dependencies
