This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Technical Program Managers are accountable for engineering-based Programs, managing engineering projects, and have engineering qualifications to ensure the highest design and safety standards. Program Managers are accountable for the performance and management of program(s) with several interrelated projects and initiatives involved within it and are responsible for reporting program performance (technical, cost, and schedule deliverables) to senior management and customers. They assume responsibility and are accountable for managing the program baseline and any changes thereto, including risks, issues, and opportunities. Program management utilizes industry-accepted processes, methods, and standards to plan, schedule, and execute a program. Program managers are strong leaders, with strong business acumen, who focus on strategy and execution, they must have experience with program budget planning, strategy, and high-level communications across the organization. Program Managers are not doing project management at the “Program level”, they are accountable for the entire Program. In this strategic and impactful role, you will help lead Enterprise Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) initiatives across Blue Origin's entire mission set, and will be responsible for developing S&OP methodologies, processes, training, tools, and governance, required to operate and execute company wide Sales and Operations Planning successfully, on schedule, and on budget. You will have the opportunity to create, design, develop and support the execution of an Enterprise Program Management Operating System across Blue Origin programs. This is an opportunity to share your experience of leading large scale development programs, looking for individuals who have seen it, been there, done that, and are ready to share their experience and knowledge to develop our Program Management Operating System, using Blue Origin and industry best practices. As a part of the S&OP team, you will be directly involved in building foundational program management and business optimization tools into our scaling organization. This includes liaising between our Business Unit program management offices, program managers, Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads, finance business partners, and data analytics team, leveraging data from multiple sources to create analysis and insights for improvement. You will collaborate, design, train, and communicate S&OP processes, tools, and best practices, while serving as change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization. Must have the ability to work in a fast-pace and ambiguous environment, while developing products/tools, establishing frameworks, and setting up processes and training to improve enterprise planning. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.
