About The Position

Rx Maintenance Specialist is a license Pharmacy Technician who supports prescription continuity in a mail order pharmacy environment through proactive outreach and refill maintenance. This role is responsible for coordinating renewals, and engaging patients to prevent therapy gaps. The specialist plays a critical role in on time medication fulfillment for chronic and maintenance therapies.

Requirements

Registered Pharmacy Technician required (CPhT preferred)
Experience working in remote or hybrid pharmacy environments
Bilingual language skills a plus
Highly self-motivated, driven to succeed and career minded
Possess problem solving, attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills
Demonstrate effective oral, written and interpersonal communication
Works well independently with ability to make independent decisions
Exceptional communication skills; oral, written and interpersonal
Provides exceptional internal and external customer service to patients, peers and clients
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, time management, organization and follow through skills a must
Efficiently and accurately provide information to patients and peers
Ability to work the following work schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Ability to work from our Andover office during the initial training and onboarding period before transitioning to a hybrid work schedule

Expertise in managing and optimizing high volume work queues with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Perform outbound calls or texts to patients regarding refill needs
Address patient questions related to refill status, shipping timelines, and order processing within defined service levels
Monitor high‑volume prescription queues
Initiate and follow up on prescription renewal requests with prescribers to prevent shipment delays
Ensure prescriptions are maintained accurately to support uninterrupted mail‑order fulfillment
Communicate with provider offices via electronic requests, fax, or phone to obtain renewals
Collaborate with pharmacists and customer service to resolve issues impacting shipment
Escalate clinical or time‑sensitive issues in accordance with established workflows
Document all outreach, renewal activity, and patient interactions accurately in pharmacy systems
Identify recurring delays or process issues and communicate opportunities for workflow improvement
Meet productivity and quality standards for outreach volume, renewal turnaround time, and prescription maintenance accuracy
Support medication adherence, auto‑refill enrollment, and gap‑in‑therapy reduction initiatives
Performs other related duties as assigned
