About The Position

Our busy dealership is in need of a RV Technician Apprentice. In this role, you will learn how to diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair, or overhaul recreational vehicles including travel trailers. You may specialize in maintaining gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, or chassis/towing systems as well as repairing generators, appliances, and interior components. We are seeking RV Technician Trainees in the Missoula, MT area and will provide all necessary training to become a Certified RV technician. Service Technicians are responsible for preparing RVs for sale, installing accessories, and repairing mechanical systems. In this position, you will work directly with senior level technicians, service advisors, parts team members, and other co-workers to learn and grow. Gull Boats & RV in Missoula, MT, started in 1941 as Gull Boats, manufacturing fiberglass boats. The business expanded under Bob Anderson Sr. and later his sons, Bob Jr., Denny, and Mike. RVs were added 20 years ago. The company is proud to be Missoula's "original" boat dealer and seeks driven people to join their team.

Requirements

Provide a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test
18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

2 years high school shop class
2 years of experience working on / repairing automobiles (home or business)
Basic understanding of 12V electrical (car audio, equipment, tractors, automobiles, etc.)
Basic understanding of 110V electrical (residential or commercial)
Basic ability in welding / fabrication
Basic understanding of small engines
Basic ability in construction / carpentry
Basic ability in plumbing
Basic ability in automotive accessory install
Technical college degree

Responsibilities

Learn how to diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair, or overhaul recreational vehicles including travel trailers
Specialize in maintaining gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, or chassis/towing systems
Repair generators, appliances, and interior components
Prepare RVs for sale
Install accessories
Repair mechanical systems when they fail
Work directly with senior level technicians, service advisors, parts team members and other co-workers to learn and grow in this career
