About The Position

Bretz RV & Marine is seeking to hire RV Technician Trainees in the Mankato, MN area to grow their technician programs. The company will provide all necessary training to become a Certified RV Technician, a career identified as one of the fastest growing in the country. Trainees will prepare RVs for sale, install accessories, and repair mechanical systems, working directly with senior technicians and other team members. The training period is typically 12-24 months, depending on individual mechanical skills and experience. This is considered a safety-sensitive position, requiring pre-employment drug screening.

Requirements

  • Provide a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Be able to stand, walk or crouch for extended periods of time
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling frequently
  • Must be able to climb ladders
  • Requires wearing closed toe shoes
  • Blue or Black work pants (no denim jeans)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years high school shop class
  • 2 years of experience working on / repairing automobiles (home or business)
  • Basic understanding of 12V electrical (car audio, equipment, tractors, automobiles, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of 110V electrical (residential or commercial)
  • Basic ability in welding / fabrication
  • Basic understanding of small engines
  • Basic ability in construction / carpentry
  • Basic ability in plumbing
  • Basic ability in automotive accessory install
