RV/Specialty Appraiser -Remote
About The Position
This is a fully remote role, and the ideal candidate will be located within the Eastern Time Zone. We are seeking a Desk RV/Specialty Estimator with experience in assessing damages for RVs, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in writing estimates from photos and remote inspections, particularly for RVs, which requires a strong understanding of vehicle structures and repair processes. Familiarity with estimating platforms such as CCC or Duncan (RV) is a plus. Strong skill in communication, time management and negotiation. Licensing is not required, but preferred. Candidates without a license must be willing to obtain one during training.
Requirements
- Experience assessing damages for RVs, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles
- Advanced expertise in writing estimates from photos and remote inspections, particularly for RVs
- Strong understanding of vehicle structures and repair processes
- Strong skill in communication
- Strong skill in time management
- Strong skill in negotiation
- Must be willing to obtain an insurance license during training if not currently licensed
- Authorization to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with estimating platforms such as CCC or Duncan (RV)
- Licensing is preferred
Responsibilities
- Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities
- Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
- Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option
- Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
