About The Position

Bowser is seeking a Rustproof Technician / New Car Prep Specialist to prepare vehicles for showroom display and customer delivery. The role involves rustproofing and undercoating vehicles, washing and detailing them to showroom-quality standards, and inspecting them for damage and listed accessories. The technician helps ensure vehicles are clean, properly equipped, and ready for customers while supporting the dealership’s service and operational needs. This position requires attention to detail, safety awareness, good judgment, and the ability to work effectively with a team in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to work in a wet environment.

Responsibilities

Rustproof and undercoat vehicles as assigned, applying thorough and precise coverage.
Safely lift vehicles and apply undercoating.
Apply rustproofing chemicals to doors, panels, engine compartments, truck beds, and other designated areas.
Wear provided protective gear, including a protective suit, gloves, goggles, and respirator.
Transport vehicles carefully to prevent interior contamination.
Clean overspray and ensure a flawless finish.
Wash and detail vehicles to showroom-quality standards.
Inspect vehicles for damage and verify listed accessories.
Document damage or missing items.
Park completed vehicles in assigned areas.
Assist technicians and valets as needed.
Occasionally retrieve or deliver vehicles to other dealerships.
Maintain a clean and organized detail shop.
Support winter operations, including snow and ice removal and clearing vehicles.
