About The Position

ICA Language Services is seeking an experienced Russian language instructor to provide part-time virtual instruction to one adult learner. The assignment provides intensive, proficiency-based instruction focused on listening, speaking, and reading skills. The instructor will teach online from October 19, 2026, through November 20, 2026, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Eastern Time. Compensation covers 75 teaching hours and 12.5 preparation hours, for 87.5 total hours. U.S. citizenship is required by program requirements.

• Ability to effectively use virtual classroom tools and digital instructional resources.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience teaching Russian to adult students in a proficiency-oriented setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in foreign language, linguistics, language teaching, or a related field.
• ILR 4 or higher proficiency in Russian.
• High proficiency in English sufficient for instruction and feedback.
• Experience working with professional or U.S. government clients.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct intermediate-to-advanced Russian instruction using varied teaching techniques to develop listening, reading, and speaking skills.
• Develop or adapt instructional materials to students’ proficiency levels, learning needs, and course objectives.
• Administer weekly quizzes and assessments, and conduct informal and formal evaluations to monitor learning progress.
• Use instructional technology and online learning resources to support independent learning.
• Adapt teaching techniques to students’ individual learning styles and professional needs.
• Maintain professional conduct and appropriate discretion in student interactions.
• Use online teaching tools and learning management systems to support engagement and independent learning.
