The Rural Health Paraprofessional Workforce Coordinator plays a central role in advancing Indiana’s strategy to strengthen and expand the rural healthcare workforce. This position focuses on building and supporting paraprofessional roles such as Community Health Workers, care coordinators, and peer support specialists, which are essential to improving access, care coordination, and outcomes in rural communities. Working within a complex statewide governance structure, this role collaborates closely with IDOH leadership, workforce and regional grant teams, healthcare providers, training organizations, and community partners. The Workforce Coordinator ensures that workforce initiatives are aligned with CMS requirements, grounded in data, and responsive to the evolving needs of rural communities. This is a highly collaborative, field-connected role that blends program implementation, stakeholder engagement, grant oversight, and performance tracking. The position serves as a key operational link across partners, helping translate statewide strategy into consistent, on-the-ground impact.
