About The Position

The Running Gear Team Lead will be responsible for assembling and packaging different types of running rear, managing target levels off company intranet, ordering material, and providing backup support on the paint line, sanding parts in the NCN area, and as a material handler when needed. This role requires regular cross-training and rotation within the department. The position involves working overtime, including Saturdays, to meet customer demand, and requires a customer service-oriented mindset. The Team Lead must also be willing to work in other areas of Mechanical Components when necessary. Leadership duties include being a positive culture leader and influencer, developing processes and teams, and promoting an engaged and safe workplace environment. The role requires the ability to read assembly blueprints, understand and execute material ordering at an elite level, and maintain awareness of the production line's status. The individual must be a team player, self-starter, safety-conscious, possess good communication skills, be innovative and mechanically inclined, and be responsible for material ordering and scheduling. This position may require standing for up to 12 hours and repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs. The applicant must adapt to a fast-paced work environment with minimal training and have a proven track record of customer service skills. The Team Lead will coach and develop work teams for superior safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost-saving focuses, and lead initiatives through employee involvement using ITW toolbox principles. Collaboration with operations leaders is essential to maintain and improve the manufacturing/assembly environment, respond to changing customer needs, facilitate area layouts, execute action plans, and select equipment. Building co-worker relationships through daily, open, and direct communication, encouraging creativity and innovation, and demonstrating effective communication to all personnel levels are key aspects of this role. The Team Lead will also build key relationships with employees and the leadership team, participate in and lead committees/teams, and resolve problems causing production shutdowns, substandard production, or low efficiencies. Assistance with production scheduling and manpower coordination is also required, along with rotating between primary and other duties as needed.

Requirements
