About The Position

This position involves ensuring communication equipment functions correctly by testing beepers and radios. The role includes delivering various items to guest rooms, such as rollaway beds, refrigerators, extra towels, bathrobes, and other requested items. Additionally, the Runner will provide complimentary toiletries like toothpaste, razors, and shampoo. The job may also involve delivering food and beverages, assembling to-go orders, and handling messages, mail, faxes, packages, flowers, and sundry or gift items. The role requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and ensuring guest satisfaction through excellent service. This includes welcoming and assisting guests, anticipating their needs, and providing support to individuals with disabilities. Effective communication, teamwork, and quality assurance are essential. The position requires the ability to read and visually verify information, inspect equipment, and perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds without assistance. It also involves moving through various spaces, reaching, bending, twisting, and performing other reasonable duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Test beepers and radios to ensure communications equipment works properly.
  • Place requested items such as rollaway beds and refrigerators in guest rooms.
  • Deliver extra towels, bathrobes, and other items to guest rooms.
  • Provide complimentary toiletries to guests, such as toothpaste, razors, and shampoo.
  • Deliver items (e.g., messages, mail, faxes, packages, flowers, sundry items, gift items) to guest rooms.
  • Deliver rollaway, cribs, linens, toiletries, and other items requested by guests to guest rooms.
  • May deliver food, beverage or other amenities and assemble orders to go.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
