About The Position
The Food Runner services restaurant areas by promptly delivering food items, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting wait staff. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for guests.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of food service experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs.
- US work authorization
Responsibilities
- Pick up food items from kitchen, check order for accuracy and quality before delivering and serve guest.
- Promptly clear, clean and set-up tables, chairs, linens, china, glass, and silverware for service in a discreet manner.
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
- Assist in stocking linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service; assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages.
- Breakdown, clean and set-up side stations and heart of house areas.
