About The Position
Parallel Employment group is partnering with a customer in Lancaster to find a Rubber Molding Technician. This role involves operating rubber molding presses and auxiliary machinery to produce molded rubber products. Responsibilities include performing basic press and machine set-ups, reviewing production routers, verifying correct mold set-ups, making process corrections, performing in-process inspections, troubleshooting molded rubber defects, and meeting production rates while maintaining quality. The technician will also develop familiarity with the quality system, maintain a safe and organized work environment, and suggest improvements to work methods and equipment efficiency. Cooperation with leads, managers, and peers is expected.
Requirements
- Background in cooking and production
- Experience with rubber molding presses
- Ability to perform basic press and machine set-ups
- Ability to review and adhere to production routers
- Ability to verify correct set-up of molds, presses, and auxiliary equipment
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and record keeping
- Ability to make process corrections and adjustments
- Ability to perform in-process inspections
- Ability to troubleshoot process issues and identify/correct molded rubber defects
- Ability to meet or exceed production rates while maintaining quality
- Familiarity with quality systems, inspection procedures, and standards
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment
- Ability to suggest changes to work methods and equipment for efficiency
- Ability to work cooperatively with leads, managers, and peers
Responsibilities
- Operation of rubber molding presses and auxiliary machinery to produce molded rubber products.
- Perform basic press and machine set-ups.
- Review of and adherence to production routers for due dates, correct material(s), set up parameters, and process instructions.
- Verify correct set-up of molds, presses, and auxiliary equipment prior to production startup.
- Maintain accurate documentation and record keeping on job routers, inspection sheets, and material labeling.
- Making approved process corrections and/or adjustments when required to ensure efficient and effective production of product.
- Perform in-process inspections at prescribed intervals to ensure dimensional and visual product conformity is maintained.
- Process troubleshooting, including identification and correction of various molded rubber defects.
- Meet or exceed communicated production rates while maintaining expected product quality.
- Develop familiarity with the quality system including inspection procedures and standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment by complying with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the Sealing Devices Quality System.
- Suggest changes in work methods and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the department.
- Perform any other task/activity assigned by the Manager within the scope of the Rubber Molding system.
- Work cooperatively with leads, managers, and peers.
