About The Position

The Rubber Machine Operator is responsible for producing molded products or parts from pre-mixed standard rubber or plastic compounds. This role involves monitoring automatic machines to ensure products meet specifications, detecting and addressing jams or malfunctions, and making necessary adjustments. Key tasks include measuring and visually inspecting products for defects using precision instruments, positioning and securing work pieces, and adjusting machine settings for pressure, temperature, speed, and cycle times. The operator will also remove finished products, trim excess material, grind scrap plastic, and cool products to prevent distortion.

Responsibilities

  • Setting quality standards, ensuring standards are met, training and communicating policies and procedures, auditing and analyzing processes, measuring production, reporting results.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships by working closely with employees, supervisors and other departments.
  • Primarily operates a rubber injection machine.
  • Operates pinning press in an efficient manner to press stainless steel pins into post of part.
  • Painting adhesive primer to post of parts efficiently avoiding spills and transfer of primer on other area besides the post of part.
  • Maintains safe/clean work environment by following cleanliness and safety standards, complying with regulations.
