About The Position

This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of specialty trade projects from mobilization to completion. The Superintendent will manage on-site crews, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring efficient and high-quality project execution. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining project schedules, reviewing project plans for compliance, monitoring progress, and enforcing safety regulations. The position also requires collaboration with project managers and clients, coordination of resources, and providing leadership to on-site staff. The Superintendent will also manage project budgets, track expenses, and promote continuous improvement in work processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in the specialty trade industry (Rubber Liner)
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, project management, and specialty trade practices
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, project plans, and specifications
  • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety standards on-site
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical training or certifications in specialty trade or construction management
  • Proficiency in construction management software or tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, etc.)
  • Certification in OSHA safety training or other relevant trade certifications
  • Experience in managing large-scale or complex specialty trade projects

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of specialty trade projects from mobilization to project completion.
  • Manage and supervise on-site crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient and high-quality project execution.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor project progress, including tracking milestones, addressing delays, and resolving issues that may arise on-site.
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and ensure that safety practices are followed at all times.
  • Perform regular inspections of the job site to ensure quality control and compliance with project standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment rental, and labor needs to ensure timely project execution.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to on-site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Address and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts quickly and professionally to prevent project delays.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project managers and clients.
  • Ensure all project documentation is up to date, including change orders, daily logs, and inspections.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place to maintain profitability.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies and suggesting improvements to work processes.
