About The Position

This position is responsible for identifying defects in high-end furniture components, as well as sanding and polishing case goods to meet quality standards. The role also operates the Rub Machine as part of the furniture polishing process.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to multi-task and have good organizational skills.
• Must be able to stand most of the 9-hour shift but also be able to walk, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, and bend over throughout the day
• Must be able to work in noisy environments
• Must be able to continuously push/pull materials throughout shift
• Must be able to grasp with hands frequently
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.; up to 100 lbs. with assistance

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED is not required, but preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in rubbing and packing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sands and polishes various parts of furniture.
• Responsible for proper sheen levels on finished furniture pieces.
• Assists with packing furniture for shipping.
• Must be able shift between different jobs throughout the day.
• Maintains a well-organized and clean work area.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
