About The Position
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (“SEL”) seeks professional, innovative and detailed individuals for our RTL/FPGA Software Engineer position located at our headquarters in Pullman, Washington. This opportunity allows individuals to work with industry experts while participating in developing cutting edge products.
Responsibilities
- Develops the product specifications, designs, implements, and documents programmable logic designs required for hardware product development of SEL software and firmware products.
- Engage in FPGA design, simulation, and verification with VHDL.
- Analyze, design, and develop digital circuits to meet specifications.
- Demonstrate and document product and circuit robustness using computer simulations, conventional analysis, and standard testing methodologies.
- Ensure that designs meet applicable regulatory requirements.
- Write and review test plans, conduct design tests, and evaluate test results.
- Prepare and maintain product documentation, including data sheets, instruction manuals, and design and test documentation.
- Provide and maintain accurate product material cost estimates, labor estimates and project plans.
- Participate in industry technical meetings and conferences as required to meet operational and strategic goals.
- Undertake to improve SEL’s research and development processes.
