Controls Engineers (multiple openings)
About The Position
Controls Engineers (multiple openings): Valknut Inc. (Sterling Heights, MI) seeks Controls Engineers (multiple openings) to oversee the design and integration sections of the automation development life cycle. Participate in correcting engineering related problems. Review programming and create an open items list. Checklist documentation. Review customer drawings and specification changes for impact. Work individually and/or contribute to team initiatives. Own and manage site procedures and technical standards for the automation function. Resolve complex problems independently. Adhere to policies and registered documents in accordance with the ISO 9001-2015.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, mechatronics/mechanical engineering or related field, plus 10 months of experience in controls engineering, including experience in PLC programming and use of Automation Tools
- Programming
- Understanding of software requirements
- Setting-up and using controlling docs
- Constructing template logic program
- Ability to read and review electrical drawings
- Ability to read and review PLC code
- Knowledge of various PLC and Safety standards
- Ability to efficiently plan, prioritize and organize workload
- Ability to resolve problems using own initiatives
- Excellent communication skills
