About The Position

The RT (Welding Quality), MT, PT Technician Lvl 2 is responsible for completing inspections, including initial interpretation, reporting, and billing, with welding experience. Senior Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and methods of NDT being used and should perform assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistant Technicians. This position is located in the Bakersfield, CA facility.

Requirements

Ability to be certified in accordance with Aegeus written practice in the following methods: RT, MT, PT Lvl 2
Ability to set up and standardize equipment, conducts tests, interpret and evaluate findings in compliance with required specifications, standards and or customer specifications
Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the techniques and method in which are to be employed
Be capable of developing written work instructions from approved general procedures
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 3+ years of NDT experience with full documentation of prior training, experience and certification is required
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
CNDT Level II certification: MT, PT, RT (Welding Quality) Lvl 2, UTT Lvl 2 a plus, not required
Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program

Responsibilities

Operates tools and equipment to accomplish job assignments and client requirements
Inspect and interpret readings as required in real time, to determine areas of interest.
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications
Set-up and calibrate all equipment used, interpret, evaluate, and document results through formal reports
Safely Operates company vehicles and strictly adhere to company safety regulations
