About The Position

Acuren is currently recruiting for an RT Level III NAS410 Inspector with DR/CR experience a plus to support our operation in Longview, TX. This role serves as an NDT Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for setting up and calibrating testing equipment, conducting tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects), and devising methods for examining objects while ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. The position requires NAS410 and RT Level III certifications.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Level III RT (DR/CR a plus)
NAS410 certification
Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) Course and/or NDT Foundations Course
Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
Knowledge of NDT equipment
Familiarization of NDE methods (conventional and advanced)
Experience in report writing
40 Hour Radiation Safety Training (40RAD)
IRRSP card
Local to Longview, TX or willing to relocate

Additional NDT certifications preferred MT,PT,UTT,VT,PMI(any convination)
State Card(Industrial Radiographer State Card/trainer status a plus)
TWIC card preferred

Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
Organize and report test results
Perform specialized inspections
May instruct and supervise others
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
