About The Position

Intertek is searching for an RT Level II Technician to join our Industry Services team. This is for a long-term, nested position at a client facility in the Ferndale, WA area. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Industry Services! Intertek's Asset Integrity Management team provides asset life management support to infrastructure, facilities, and equipment through the conception, design, construction, commissioning, operations, and decommissioning phases. Intertek provides specialists and engineering support in all areas of Asset Integrity Management, including design, process safety, mechanical integrity, inspection and maintenance, operational and process support, corrosion, metallurgy, and risk analysis to provide you with Total Quality Assurance.

Requirements

  • Qualified and certified as an ASNT Level II in Radiographic examination (Code Quality)
  • Minimum of 3+ years field experience
  • Hold a valid State card
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
  • TWIC Card
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass a physical exam
  • A mindset of safety first.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional NDT certifications and experience are a plus.
  • HH Safety Training preferred
  • ASNT Level II certification in UT-Thickness; MT and/or PT.
  • CR experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to organize and report test results and send information to the office for data processing.
  • The ability to solve technical issues in the field.
  • Rope Access certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned inspection activities to ensure that an object, material, or system complies with applicable codes, standards, and specific job requirements at client facilities in the Bellingham, WA area.
  • Radiographic Testing Film Interpretation (RTfi): Applicable to film interpretation of radiographs, evaluation of the Radiographic Method, and overall evaluation of radiographic film to applicable codes and standards acceptance criteria.
  • Set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the Methods for which qualified and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on the job training and guidance of assigned trainees and NDT Level I personnel.
  • Organize and report the results of any assigned NDT.
  • Adopt an Intertek “Marketing and Sales” attitude in all client, vendor, employee, and outside contacts interactions.
  • Actively pursue continuing technical education courses or seminars.
