About The Position

Acuren is currently recruiting for RT Level II Technicians to support our operation in Longview, TX. LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking candidates who are based in or near Longview, TX While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to local candidates due to the on-site requirements of this role.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Level II
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing
• Based in or near Longview, TX
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training
• Industrial Radiographer State Card (trainee status a plus)
• Valid TWIC card or be able to obtain
• Must be able to provide current or prior copies of certifications in methods as well as classroom documentation.
• Must be willing to travel as needed

Nice To Haves

• Some college preferred
• IRRSP card preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
