About The Position
Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency services, including interventional cardiology, critical care, obstetrics, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We are a Primary Stroke Center with on-site neurohospitalists. In addition to traditional medical and surgical services, we proudly provide subspecialized care from fellowship-trained providers in advanced gastroenterology and medical and surgical oncology as well as colorectal, breast, thoracic, orthopedic and robotic surgery.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Responsibilities
- Performs patient assessments
- Performs general and critical care respiratory care procedures
- Performs respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery
- Performs blood gas analysis and interpretation
- Maintains and manages equipment
- Provides patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas
