About The Position

Pulmonary Associates of Richmond (PAR) is seeking an experienced, fully registered, and Certified Sleep Day Technologist for PRN positions at our Sleep Centers. PAR has been serving the Richmond community for 50 years, specializing in pulmonary medicine, sleep disorders, and research. Our staff is dedicated to providing excellent patient care and customer service, making our Sleep Disorder Center the "Gold Standard" for sleep medicine in Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to earn extra income in a team-oriented environment with weekly pay.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
RPSGT credential required.
VA state license required.

Responsibilities

Score nighttime sleep studies, including sleep/wake stages and clinical events, according to accepted guidelines and clinic protocols, and generate accurate reports by tabulating data.
Educate patients about CPAP therapy and perform mask fittings.
Perform download of CPAP machine data cards.
Troubleshoot CPAP mask and machine problems and work with patients to find solutions to increase compliance.
Coordinate with DME company regarding patient’s CPAP machine: complete and fax paperwork for initial set ups, write and fax RX for initial set ups and new equipment, assist with patient questions and equipment problems.
Respond to voicemails and EMR messages within the timeframe set by PAR.
Accurately document patient activity, phone calls, etc. in EMR.
Coordinate home sleep studies: Instruct patients on the proper use of the home sleep unit, complete all paperwork, upload completed studies for physician review.
Fax sleep study results to referring physicians.
Troubleshoot sleep software and equipment.
Evaluate sleep study related equipment and inventory.
Maintain cleanliness of the lab by cleaning and disinfecting equipment.
Communicate with night techs regarding patient needs, questions, etc.
Perform other duties as required by the providers, manager or member of Administration.
