Roving Relationship Teller
About The Position
Benchmark Community Bank is seeking to hire an outgoing and service-oriented Teller for our roving team. This position will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to our customers in any of our 18 locations. This candidate will primarily service our western market from Clarksville to South Boston but have the ability to travel to other locations as needed with mileage reimbursement. Benchmark Community Bank is a full-service, progressive financial institution that is integrally involved with each of the communities that we serve. In 1971, BCB opened for business in a "doublewide" in Kenbridge, Virginia. From those humble beginnings almost 55 years ago, Benchmark's leaders have developed a well-regarded institution upon which many Southside Virginians depend for their banking needs. Since 1971 growth has been strong and steady and we are proud to serve the Southside Virginia and northern North Carolina communities. Over the years, we have also continually found ways to give back to the community in which our customers live. We have always been and intend to continue to remain locally owned and operated.
Requirements
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Basic math and computer skills
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of banking experience
- Flexibility to travel as needed to our different locations
Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer service to customers in any of our 18 locations.
- Primarily service the western market from Clarksville to South Boston, with the ability to travel to other locations as needed.
- Greet customers cheerfully as they walk through the branch doors.
- Process routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, checks, and loan payments efficiently.
- Utilize product knowledge to recommend financial products and services to meet customer needs.
- Maintain a cash drawer with proper controls, security, and proofs, ensuring it balances at the end of each day.
- Count cash, enter information into a computer, comply with check-cashing guidelines, and look for fraudulent activity.
- Take on all service opportunities, from easy to challenging.
